Brethren, Division VIII is actively supporting the Grand Master's Project "Raising A Reader." Grand Lodge of California's and Raising a Reader has formed a partnership which will enable "Raising A Reader" to enter 250 kindergarten classrooms throughout California and will reach as many as 6,000 at-risk children and their families.
The word went out that "Masons should support the Grand Master's Project, Masons came forward and Division 8's "Operation Literacy" was formed.
The Division 8 web-site can be found at http://division8masons.com/ The purpose of "Operation Literacy" is to support and raise money for Most Worshipful Frank Loui's "Grand Master's Project, "Raising a Reader."
On the evening of June 20th, 2012, Division will host a program in honor of the Grand Master and "Raising A Reader." 6:30 starts the Social Time which will be followed by this MOST AWESOME Program. The venue will be determined soon so please keep in touch.
Please visit us at http://division8masons.com/ and tell us what you think. The site gives information on the Grand Master's Project and allows us to donate to this worthy cause. We can make a monetary donation, volunteer our time or donate that vehicle, boat, motor home, that is cluttering up your back yard and you were planning to get rid of anyway. Put it to work by donating it to the "Operation Literacy- Raising A Reader Program."You can donate the vehicle at http://americancharitycenter.com/ .
American Charity Center, unlike most similar programs totally reconditions the vehicle before it's sale, thus being able to give more to the charity. Brethren, let's make a great effort in supporting Most Worshipful Frank Loui's project. Please visit the site, http://division8masons.com/ and get involved. We can't do it without your help. We can bring lot's of books into many children's lives. Masonic family, we are counting on you! Let's help these children and show the world that Freemasonry is making a difference. Sincerely & Respectfully, Manny Blanco, W.M. Chino Masonic Lodge.. 951-315-1410, masontruth@aol.com
